Locate leaks beneath concrete floors using thermal and acoustic methods.
A slab leak is any leak in the supply or drain piping running beneath a concrete floor. They show up as warm patches, unexplained water bills, damp baseboards or worse — and traditional plumbing methods can't see them. We combine surface thermal imaging, ground-level acoustic sensors and (where useful) tracer gas to mark the location of the failure on the slab surface, so the repair team can saw-cut a tile rather than the entire room. Greater Vancouver's mix of older slab-on-grade construction and newer concrete tower podiums means slab work is some of the most common detection we do.
Water Leaking is a sub-division of Leak.ca, the Greater Vancouver leak detection company trusted since 1999. Every site visit is delivered by certified technicians using calibrated equipment, with documented findings formatted for insurance, engineering and procurement use.
We don't sell remediation. Our role is independent detection and assessment — the data you and your professional team work from.
Yes — we need direct access to the slab surface. We will tell you exactly what needs to be moved before we arrive.
Yes. Hot-line slab leaks show up vividly on thermal, cold-line and drain leaks need acoustic and tracer methods.
We work in concrete towers regularly. Strata access and disclosure to neighbouring units is something we'll help coordinate.
